So the first stage to learn conversational hypnosis is to make an unbroken flow of concepts.
Imagine, if you would, that you are on the top of a theme park water-slide. As you slide down the water-slide, the water lubricates the ride down, and the curves are gradually enough so that wherever you go, gravity is taking care of everything.

You dont have to do anything. Youjust slip, and slide, and revel in the ride.

That is how your experience of hypnosis should be when speaking to someone else. It should be so smooth and so cushy and so enjoyable, that they don’t have any reason to need to get off, because they’re enjoying the ride too much.

Principle 1 : Verbal Agreement

So that the first principle that youhave got to don’t forget, when using Conversational Hypnosis, is to maintain a form of verbal agreement.

It doesnot mean that they have to say yes to everything youre pronouncing out loud. But they’ve got to be able to agree with it at some level. So that one thought or idea easily moves onto the other.

That creates asort of flow, thats very , very compelling for them to follow on to.

Principle 2 : Plausibility

Now a method to do this is to use patterns of plausibility. As aguideline, the more somebody is in trance, the less trustworthy your suggestions need to be.

But the more their conscious critical awareness is ready the more that you must satisfy by making comments that appear very creditable.

As an example, if I say to you, Today is a lovely day. The sun is shining and its warm outside. Its asort of day that kids want to play in.

These are all things that you can verify externally : You can look out your window and see the sun shining. You can feel the heat on your own skin. And maybe you can also see kids outside playing.

So these are all things you have to agree with because they are just verifiable facts.

however , now that we have established this, we can begin to add something to the mix which may or may not be true, but is just trustworthy enough that youll probably go along with it as it appears better to do so.

Prinicple 3 : Piggy Back Suggestions

Now this is called the concept of piggy-backing off other proposals.

But for the moment, just bear in mind that this smooth language allows you to create this connection between things that donot always need to be connected.

So theres a kind of a language which allows you to not only connect ideas, but also create transitions, which are very smooth, between one thought or idea and another. It creates this effortless, seamless flow.

returning to our analogy of the water-slide and the theme park, youhave got to create some kind of language that will have the same effect as the water going down the water-slide, which creates a smoothness of experience. So that folks can ride down these ideas without any effort at all .

Principle 4 : Linguistic Bridges
