Topping The Trends: A Velour Tracksuit
Trends come and go quickly in modern fashion but there are a select few trends that stay around long enough to become fashion staples. In the past half century the best example would be the denim jean. The newest trend which is proving that it has staying power is the velour tracksuit.
Unlike other trends, shops continue to stock velour tracksuits season to season. For the past few years there have been variations on the velour tracksuit in every major high street shop. Two years on the fashion scene is an age in modern styling.
Velour tracksuits came to public view through celebrities at first. Britney Spears used pink velour tracksuits for her bridesmaids in her wedding to K-Fed. Then the WAGs were spotted styling themselves in an array of different coloured velour tracksuits whilst their other halves were playing in international competitions.
Now everyone likes velour tracksuits, from high street to designer. They are so liked because they are stylish while being comfortable. But you need to make sure that the tracksuit you wear is made of good quality velour. When it is washed it should keep its shape. Likewise you do not want to see the colour fading. You will look cheap rather than fashionable if the quality is poor.
Dark colours work best on tracksuits for adults as colours can look like you are trying to look younger than you are. Definitely stay away from bright pinks and greens. Navy, dark grey, brown and black are flattering.
Bright colours look super on children though. It is hard to find comfortable, practical and stylish clothes for young girls. When all of these features are combined your daughter will be happy. When children have been swimming or doing activities they like to be able to easily pull their clothes on and off.
When looking for a new velour tracksuit shop at different retailers. You will find some awful ones and the odd gem. Quality can be found at retailers who socialise in other velour clothing as well. Make sure that you do not get overcharged for the tracksuit, £60 should be the maximum. Likewise, do not spend too little otherwise the clothing will fall apart after just a few washes.
