You will need about 3 2×4 pieces of wood and 2 more regular pieces of wood for the sides of the stair. You will need to have carpet or a material with cushion that you wish to put on the stairs. Make sure the stairs feel comfortable to you to ensure they will be utilized by your dog. You can even personalize the stairs by sewing in pieces of fabric that may spell out the dogs name the options are endless, and a lot cheaper to.

Make sure that you let any small children know that the dog stairs are not a toy for them. They are for the dog to use to climb so they don’t hurt themselves.
